Privacy policy

We collect as little as we can, never sell it, and only use it to answer you, make your piece and understand which pages help visitors.

Who we are

Vistara Ateliers (“we”, “us”) is a studio in India that hand-carves wall décor, sculpture and table pieces to order. This policy covers vistaraateliers.com and the enquiries and orders placed through it.

What we collect

Enquiries and customisation requests: your name, email, and optionally phone, company/project, the piece you asked about, and your message (including any size, finish or quantity you mention).
Orders: the piece, quantity, size and finish, plus your name, email, phone, company (optional), delivery address and any notes. We take no payment details on this website.
Spam screening: how long a form was open and whether anything was typed, and a one-way code made from your IP address and browser that changes every day. We never store your IP address itself.
Usage statistics: pages viewed, time on page, catalogue searches, buttons clicked, the referring website and campaign tags, and your device type, browser, operating system, screen width, language, timezone and approximate country.

Cookies & analytics

This website sets no cookies and uses no third-party trackers or advertising tools. Our statistics are first-party: they go only to our own database.

If you accept on the privacy bar, we keep a random visitor ID in your browser’s local storage so we can tell new and returning visits apart. It is not linked to your name or email.
If you have not chosen yet, statistics use a temporary ID that is forgotten when you close the tab; nothing is stored.
If you decline, no statistics are sent at all and any stored ID is deleted.

We store your choice itself in local storage so we don’t ask again. You can change it at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

How we use it

To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quotation, drawing and sample plan.
To confirm, make, deliver and support your order, and to show its status on your private receipt link.
To keep the forms free of spam, scams and impersonation attempts.
To understand which pages and pieces are useful, so we can improve the catalogue.

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not send marketing emails unless you ask us to.

We use two service providers who store or process data on our behalf, under their own security and data-protection terms:

Supabase — our database (enquiries, orders, statistics), hosted in Mumbai, India.
Vercel — hosts and delivers this website.

We share order details with couriers only as needed to deliver your piece, and with authorities only where the law requires it. Your receipt link is private to you; anyone with the link can view that receipt, so please share it carefully.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and orders for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our accounting and tax obligations. Usage statistics are kept to compare trends over time and contain no names, emails or IP addresses. You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see below), unless we must keep it by law.

Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (and similar laws where you live), you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, have it erased, or withdraw your consent. Write to us from the email address you used and we will reply within 30 days.
