Product description
A pair of slender tribal musicians in Dhokra brass — one playing a long flute, the other a drum held across the waist. Feathered headdresses, hoop earrings, layered necklaces and leaf-pattern skirts are all built from fine threads of wax before casting, giving the figures their distinctive textured line. A lively pair for bookshelves, study tables, music rooms and gifting.
Design origin
Music and dance are at the heart of the festivals of Bastar’s tribal communities in Chhattisgarh, where Dhokra casting has been practised for millennia. These figures follow the classic Bastar style — elongated limbs, wire-thread ornament and feathered crowns — celebrating the musicians who lead every celebration.
