Product description
A hand-carved tissue holder framed like a miniature Mughal jharokha, with painted side panels of stylised flowers and quatrefoil medallions and a reverse-painted glass top in deep indigo. The hinged lid has a clean central slot, while a cast brass clasp on the front echoes traditional door hardware. It brings heirloom charm to a bedside, console, bar cabinet or guest-room tray. Ideal for hotels, resorts, boutique guestrooms, fine-dining tables and heritage homes.
Design origin
Drawn from the carved jharokha windows of Rajasthan and the painted glass lanterns of Old Delhi, the box layers two crafts in one object. The jharokha panel celebrates the symmetry of Mughal gardens and royal interiors, while reverse-painting on glass — once used in haveli lanterns and temple toranas — adds jewel-like depth. Together they turn a humble tissue holder into a small piece of architectural nostalgia.
