Product description
A tall, slender pair of standing figures in antique brass — one balancing a bowl on her head, the other holding a bowl at her waist. Their conical bodies are embossed with floral motifs and dotted with red and green, finished with a hand-painted collar, a band of coiled red wire, hoop earrings and a round beaded base. The bowls can hold a diya, flowers or small offerings, making the pair a graceful welcome for entrance consoles, foyers, puja corners and hotel reception desks.
Design origin
The panihari — the woman who carries water home from the village well — is one of the best-loved images of Rajasthan, celebrated in the folk song ‘Panihari’. Her balanced, upright posture stands for grace, endurance and the daily rhythm of rural life.
