Product description
A set of three hand-painted metal figurines of Rajasthani folk performers — a drummer raising his dafli, a dancer in a flared ghagra, and a musician with a folk string instrument. Faces and arms are left in burnished copper, while turbans, kurtas and skirts are painted by hand in marigold, saffron, emerald and indigo with tiny dotted flowers. Each figure sits on its own painted base. A cheerful set for console tables, shelves, reception desks, restaurant niches and festive gifting.
Design origin
Inspired by the travelling folk musicians and dancers of Rajasthan, whose songs and dances fill village fairs and weddings. The faceless, flowing silhouettes follow a much-loved Indian craft style that captures movement and rhythm rather than portrait detail, while the dot-and-flower painting echoes the colours of Rajasthani textiles.
