Product description
A hand-built low table, its top a patchwork of richly painted floral and geometric tiles framed in deep mahogany wood. Four turned legs lift the vivid surface to a comfortable seating height, while a small mirror mosaic detail at the corner catches the light. A warm, characterful piece that anchors a chair, pooja seat or window alcove. Ideal for boutique hotels, heritage restaurants, cafés, reading corners and bohemian living rooms.
Design origin
The top draws on the tradition of hand-painted ceramic tile work found across the Mediterranean and carried into Portuguese-Goan and Kutch homes, where colourful azulejo-style panels were set into furniture, walls and step risers. Each tile is finished individually before being fitted into a solid wood frame, echoing the village artisan tradition of treating even the smallest surface as a place for pattern and colour. The result blends an Iberian-Indian craft memory with the Indian chowki form.
