A round side table turned and carved from solid hardwood, crowned with a book-matched veneer medallion that reads like a starburst from above. Its scalloped apron is shaped to echo lotus petals, balanced on three sabre legs joined by a turned stretcher ring. The deep walnut finish amplifies the figured grain, lending quiet richness to any room. Ideal for boutique hotels, lounges, residences, reading corners and statement entryways.
Design origin
The scalloped apron draws on Indian temple and haveli woodwork, where carvers shaped furniture edges into rhythmic lotus and petal forms. Book-matched veneer — a craft perfected by Indian marquetry traditions — is used here to turn the tabletop into a four-pointed rosette, a meditative geometric motif long associated with mandala art. The tripod form echoes the classic Indian *manara* stool and colonial-influenced tea tables.
