Product description
A graceful barrel-back armchair with a fan of turned spindles sweeping into a continuous curved crest rail, set on tapered legs tipped in polished brass. The cushioned seat in soft striped fabric brings colour and comfort to the clean architectural form. Crafted in solid hardwood with traditional joinery and hand-finished detailing, it brings a quiet, sculptural presence to a corner. Ideal for boutique hotels, restaurants, lounges, reading nooks, bedrooms and refined living spaces.
Design origin
Inspired by the rhythmic turned-spindle tradition of Indian sheesham and walnut furniture, the design reinterprets the classic sun-ray fan back through a mid-century modern lens. The continuous hoop rail echoes the temple bells and jaali screens of Indian craft, while the brass sabots reflect the brass-tipped detailing found on traditional Indian trousseau chests and ceremonial seats.
