Product description
A hand-painted octagonal low table, or mori, crowned with a folk mandala that radiates from a marigold-bright centre into eight coloured panels. The red body is hand-painted with white flower bunches, dots and Mughal arches along the apron, while the tapered legs end in soft paisley feet. Made to order, it slips effortlessly beside a sofa, at the foot of a bed or as a pair around a low seating cluster. Ideal for boutique hotels, cafés, Rajasthani-themed restaurants, baithak corners and eclectic living rooms.
Design origin
The eight-sided mori is rooted in Rajasthani and Mughal traditions of low seating, where guests gathered around hand-painted wooden pieces for tea and conversation. The tabletop mandala echoes rangoli and sun-mandala motifs drawn at doorsteps and courtyards to invite prosperity, while the arch-cut apron borrows from jharokha and mihrab silhouettes. Together they make a utilitarian low table feel like a folk-art heirloom.
