Product description
A hand-crafted table piece with a flowing wave-form divider that separates spoons from forks and knives, keeping the dining table effortlessly organised. The smooth, scooped compartments rise from a solid wood block, marrying tactile craft with everyday function. Stainless cutlery sits cradled in the carved bays, the natural grain warming the cool metal. Ideal for restaurants, cafes, dining rooms, hotel suites and curated home tablescapes.
Design origin
The name Samudra, meaning ‘ocean’ in Sanskrit, draws on the rhythmic rise and fall of water — a single divider carved to echo a gentle wave. In Indian craft, the wave is a familiar motif symbolising abundance, sustenance and hospitality. Here, that movement is pared back into a single sweeping line, turning a utilitarian cutlery tray into a quiet centrepiece for the shared meal.
