Product description
A hand-crafted wooden shoe rack bench that doubles as comfortable entryway seating, finished in a rich walnut stain with traditional panelled sides and shapely bracket feet. The cushioned top lifts the bench into a soft perch for slipping on shoes, while the angled drop-front opens to reveal three generous shelves lined with footwear. Built in solid sheesham with classic joinery, it brings order and old-world charm to hallways, foyers and bedroom corners alike. Ideal for hotels, resorts, bed-and-breakfasts, apartments, family homes and boutique lobbies.
Design origin
Rooted in the Indian tradition of the carved *piyawara* and chowki-style low seat, this piece blends the everyday utility of a European hallway bench with the warmth of subcontinental woodwork. The panelled sides, bracket feet and warm walnut finish echo the cabinetmaking heritage of Saharanpur and Jodhpur, where solid sheesham is shaped by hand into furniture meant to last generations. The cushioned top adds a contemporary layer of comfort, making the form as welcoming as it is practical.
