A hand-carved hardwood lounge armchair that bridges heritage Indian craftsmanship with a quiet, contemporary silhouette. The frame is built from solid wood with slender turned legs and a row of turned spindles forming the sides, echoing the geometry of a traditional charpai in armchair form. Loose seat and back cushions in a natural linen-look fabric keep the seating soft and inviting. Ideal for boutique hotels, resort suites, fine-dining rooms, reading corners and refined living spaces.
Design origin
The slatted side panel draws directly from the charpai, the woven day-bed common across rural India for centuries. By translating that honest spindle construction into a lounge armchair in solid hardwood, the design honours traditional joinery while giving it a softer, upholstered comfort suited to modern hospitality interiors.
