A striking round side table built around a hand-carved ship’s wheel, finished with a clear tempered glass top that floats above eight turned spokes and handles. Design origin
The ship’s wheel is one of the oldest emblems of craft, navigation and command — a symbol of guidance, adventure and the meeting of hand and horizon. Indian coastal workshops have long made miniature helms as keepsakes and trophy pieces, turning the spokes, handles and hub on the lathe before fitting them to a wooden stock. Vistara reinterprets that nautical heirloom as a functional side table: the wheel becomes the support of a glass surface, and the column is dressed with rope to keep the story honest.
